Here is a cardboard boat. The wooden post is set into what I think is called a disk blade - it is heavy, and you can lift the post in and out. The boat also has a board in the bottom to make it more sturdy. I didn't make it, so I don't know exactly how it was made. The felt on the ground is probably not meant to be water - I just found it in storage and tried it out. Could use some work, but I like the idea. What I learned from it, though, is that if you sew on the hook side of velcro, it sticks to carpet and keeps it in place. I would like to figure out a way to add waves to the water, maybe using a technique sort of like on this pillow here.
